TED Talks are a big part of the Printing Solutions culture. They’re a great way to educate ourselves on specific topics without added bias, opinions, or unnecessary influence.

We go to TED talks for inspiration, education, and as an entertainment resource. Every so often, someone on the team will find a useful TED talk and share it with the entire team.

TED’s mission is to spread ideas through people who “seek a deeper understanding of the world” and “believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives, and ultimately, the world.” And that’s something that — as a company that helps business influence, market, and attract audiences for our clients — we can really get behind.

So in the interest of spreading ideas and changing the world, we wanted to take a moment to share our team’s 3 favorite TED Talks with you. Which is your favorite?

1. Sasha Strauss: From Branding With Love

This TED Talk is a favorite of our marketing director Kristyn Dingman, who is a big fan of Sasha’s business model. But in this talk, his ability to inspire his audience with clever metaphors and funny sense of humor really shines through. It’s also a great look at the potential that marketing and branding hold. If you’re struggling to find your company’s voice, this TED Talk is a must-watch.

2. Avi Reichental: What’s Next in 3D Printing

This particular TED Talk is a favorite with the entire team here at Printing Solutions. It’s a really cool sneak-peek at new methods of 3D printing, and is a great look into the future of the print industry. Watching this makes us excited for just how amazing 3D printing is … and what it will become.

3. Simon Sinek: How Great Leaders Inspire Action

Our project managers are big fans of this TED Talk from Simon Sinek. It really hits hard on the idea of inspiration, as well as what it takes to lead others at work or at home. If you are in a leadership role or even just looking for the skills to inspire those around you, this is a perfect watch.

Ready to change the world with your ideas? Our team at Printing Solutions would love to join you. Give us a call at 480-596-6300 to let us know where we can help.

Here at Printing Solutions, we’re big fans of color. Each carries its own special meaning and can be a tool to influence an audience just by how it’s used in your branding materials. But one color we’re particularly fond of is blue … in case you couldn’t tell from our own brand! As it turns out, there’s a lot more to blue than meets the eye. Here are 10 things you didn’t know about the color blue.

1. The human eye can see 65,536 different colors of blue.

Blue Color Wheel

Need to choose a specific one? The best way is to consult a palette book, which printers and graphic designers rely on for accuracy.

2. Each one has 52 shades.

Blue Shades

Different shades are created by mixing different amounts of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CYMK) inks. The color above is C100 M30 Y0 K0.

3. Blue is the most popular favorite color in the world.

Blue Pencils

In a recent survey, 49% of men and 29% of women said their favorite color was blue.

4. In color psychology, blue symbolizes trustworthiness and inspires confidence.

Blue Trust Confidence

This is why so many medical professionals wear scrubs in this color.

5. Studies show that the color blue serves as an appetite suppressant.

Blue Berries

Red does the opposite — just think of every fast food chain ever!

6. Printing Solutions’ brand colors weren’t always blue.

Blue Logo

They were originally yellow, but were changed to blue because it has a more soft and playful feel.

7. Chemists recently discovered a new color of blue … by accident.

New Blue

Oregon State University discovered the pigment “YInMn blue” by heating a mixture of manganese oxide and other chemicals to over 2,000° F.

8. Only 8% of the world’s population has blue eyes.

Blue Eyes

Light-colored eyes are produced by recessive genes that cause an absence of pigments in the iris.

9. In ancient times, blue pigments were so rare that they reserved for royalty.

Blue Pigments

This is where the term “royal blue” came from.

10. Blue is a popular color for branding and marketing.

Blue Mailbox

Thanks to the significance it carries, this is the most popular color for direct mail marketing and branding.

Looking for the perfect colors to use in your branding and marketing? Printing Solutions would love to help you find your new color identity. Give us a call at 480-595-6300 to get started.

At Printing Solutions, our clients come to us because we’re very good at what we do. We posses a skill and craft that requires many years of practice and training, especially for a designer like Justin Ketchum and Chris Danner. These two men work tirelessly to produce some amazing work for our clients, and we couldn’t be happier to have them on our team.

But unless you’ve worked in the industry, you probably don’t know what it takes to be a designer like Chris or Justin. So today we’re going inside a typical day at Printing Solutions to show you exactly what it’s like to be a designer.

Our typical day starts with a production meeting with the Printing Solutions team. Our designers Chris Danner and Justin Ketchum discuss their tasks for the day and decide how much time needs to be given to each one. They also make sure to space projects far enough out that designers can give each one the time and attention it deserves — too many deadlines too close together means that projects come out less than perfect. Morning production meetings help prevent that from ever happening. better than that gifOnce we wrap up our meeting we get to work! From simple text changes to logo creation and brand development for our clients, our designers get to work on a bit of everything each day. They primarily use tools from the Adobe Create Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

“Many people consider creativity as being a weekend hobby or something you do when remodeling a kitchen. I get to challenge myself creatively every day!” says Justin Ketchum, Printing Solutions’ Creative Director.

Throughout the day there will also be client meetings that a designer may participate in. Often Chris and Justin will sit in on new and current client meetings, but sometimes, the visits are unscheduled.
surprise visit gif
“The great part about having in-house graphic designers is that our clients know they can call or walk in and chat with them, no problem,” says Kristyn Dingman, Printing Solutions’ Director of Marketing.

But it takes a good deal of creativity from our designers to be able to produce such amazing work for all of our clients. To help Chris and Justin out, we’ve made the Printing Solutions office as creative an environment as possible. The team plays music, basketball, ping-pong, or just lounges on our giant bean bags as needed.

“We have daily tasks that need to be completed in time to be able to hit certain deadlines,” Justin says. “This creates a challenge for us at times because you cannot force creativity. That’s why we make sure our work environment allows for 100% creative freedom.”

“What’s so nice about our creative team is that we all share different types of creativity and skills,” Kristyn says. “We have someone who can come up with a solution to any problem because we have an abundance of creative ideas all in one location.”

And at the end of the project, the entire team’s creativity shows as yet another customer leaves our office thrilled with their new print products.

It’s always a treat when we get to help clients plan and promote upcoming event. Here at Printing Solutions we love being able to help people visualize a beautiful table or booth that brings great engagement and continued profit. We always want to make sure we are giving our clients the type of exposure they are looking for at an event.

If you have an event coming up, here are some guidelines to help you promote it in the best way.

1. What’s your budget?

It’s important to allot a large enough budget to promote upcoming event effectively. It’s always good to have a few different branded visual references at your table. Use these basics as a guideline:

  • A table throw: about $179
  • A retractable banner: about $249
  • At least 1 handout (brochures, postcards): $79
  • A Business card: $39

Total: $546

When planning your budget, remember that these promotional materials aren’t a one-time investment. Most of Printing Solutions’ customers reprint their signs and banners only once a year at most. So you can invest a few bucks into something big and high-quality that other marketing material just cannot do.

2. What functionality do you need?

Consider your purpose for attending the event when you plan your promotional materials. Do you want to connect with potential clients, or are you there to look for new companies to partner with? Tailor your materials toward your end goal.

Certain materials are essential regardless of your end goal — you’ll always need a large sign or banner to attract the most attention possible. But if your booth doesn’t include a table front and center, you might want to skip the table throw and put your budget toward more interesting freebies to hand out at the event.

Keep in mind that just because you purchase these materials for a specific event doesn’t mean that they’re useless between trade shows. A lot of wide format printing is very versatile in that you can use it for many different occasions. Once your event is over, displaying your signs or banners in your office or conference room just adds additional branding to your workspace.

3. What products do you already have?

It’s always a good idea to go through your existing supplies before an event and take inventory of what you already have. If you’ve attended trade shows or tabled other events before, chances are you can repurpose some of your existing materials, like table throws, business cards, and banners. But if the materials show signs of wear or are of a low quality, you might want to consider reprinting.

“We take print and see how we can design something specifically for it. The two go together,” says Kristyn Dingman, Printing Solutions’ Director of Marketing. “You can have a high-end retractable banner that has an unattractive graphic on it, or you can have a really solid design of your logo that is printed on a cheap material. The two are essential to one another. Printing on a high-quality material with a high-quality visual is the best route to take.”

“We take print and see how we can design something specifically for it. The two go together.”

If you’re planning your first event and need to start from scratch with promotional materials, our On-The-Go Package was created just for your. It includes over 6 different print marketing options for one price and is a customizable and comprehensive solution to that helps to promote upcoming event.

For us, the best part of planning any event is seeing the customer’s face light up when we have the display set up in our office for them to pick up. Seeing that end result and the reactions we get are priceless.

Just like the fashion industry, the print world sees trends come and go. What was popular a few years ago isn’t in style now, and today’s businesses must adjust their print materials accordingly.

Over the past months we’ve observed a few changes in styles among our own clients and colleagues, and we’ve compiled them for you below. Here’s what’s trending in the print world.

Social Events

Lately there are more and more social events that businesses are looking to attend, whether it’s a trade show, conference, or other tabling event. Making sure you are visually prepared and well represented at those events is key.

Large format print marketing materials like signs and retractable banners are a must for setting up a great booth. But to really stick with visitors, you’ll also want to invest in flyers, brochures, and business cards to hand out. Additional freebies like postcards, notepads, or stickers can also make a strong impact with anyone who stops at your booth.

When preparing for a trade show or other social event, it pays to plan ahead.

Print World Planning

A full trade show package from Printing Solutions includes seven different products, all of which take time to design, print, and deliver.

Direct Mail

We’re loving the trend of businesses developing effective direct mail campaigns. With direct mail you’re literally placing your company’s brand directly into customers’ mailboxes and homes. It’s a valuable “in” with your customers that your competitors likely don’t have.

If you’re jumping on the direct mail bandwagon, keep in mind that design is everything. You only get one chance to make a first impression, especially when the medium you’re using is something that most consumers consider “junk mail.” So having something designed so well that it entices customers to open it is important.

puppy_mail

At Printing Solutions, we’re here to help through every step of the Direct Mail process, from design and printing to creating a mailing list to sending your mailers out.

Unique Business Cards

Making sure you are visually better than your competition is especially important in the beginning of the year when you can go all out with guns blazing. With a brand-new budget, you can create a lasting impression with your business cards. Many of our clients are using foil stamping and colored-edge business cards as a way to stand out from the crowd.

big_deal

We have also noticed our clients giving extra attention to the thickness of a business card. Most business cards are printed on a 16pt matte-finish card stock. Lately, however, we have been seeing clients going for a super thick card with a silk laminate finish.

These changes in trending print will not only bring a more effective visual representation of your business, but it will give your company the upper hand and attract the right customers for your business.

Looking to give your company’s printing a boost? Give Printing Solutions a call at 480-596-6300 to get started.

Why Is Good Graphic Design Important?

Having a strong graphic design for your ad or logo can either make or break your business.

But if you are trying to just throw something together quick and cheap, you are going to end up wasting not only your time, but also your valuable marketing dollars. Poor design can lead to an unclear message or brand representation. In the end, it can result in a false image of your business to your designed audience.

If you’re thinking of adjusting your company’s graphic design, here are some things to consider before you jump in.

1. It Makes a Good First Impression.

We all know the importance of a first impression in our personal appearance — it takes approximately one-tenth of a second for an interviewer to form a first impression of a job candidate — but did you know that the same goes for your printed materials?

Handing someone a business card with an outstanding design is the print equivalent of showing up to a job interview in a shirt and shoes that have been ironed and polished. Giving them a card with a design that is lackluster or nonexistent is like forgetting to put on deodorant.

“You only get one first impression — it never comes around twice,” says Kristyn Lechwar, Printing Solutions’ Director of Marketing. “And customers naturally tend to gravitate toward an attractive company, brand, and product.”

So having good graphic design will not only give your audience a clear image of who you are, but it will leave a lasting impression with them. Next time they are ready to buy, they know exactly who they are going to buy from.

2. It Creates Brand Recognition.

What do brands like Apple, Google, and Coca-Cola have in common? They all have a clean, strong design that is instantly recognizable.

Even if you never plan to be the next Google, it is still essential for your business to have strong visual reference. Being able to instantly distinguish a company based on their logo or the way their website may look is a win. Having your audience know who you are without having to think twice about it comes from great graphic design efforts.

Brand recognition starts with your logo. You may choose to use only text, like Google, or you may decide that using a symbol that correlates with your company name, like Apple, is the better choice for you. You’ll want to include colors that convey your brand message, and you’ll need a font that fits your company’s personality.

We strongly suggest hiring a professional to design your logo and marketing materials. Our designers are not only very talented, but they also are experts at identifying exactly what each business needs to succeed.

3. It Makes Communication Easier.

Think of the last time you met someone new. Perhaps it was at a conference or networking event, or perhaps it was someone who walked through your company’s door. Likely you talked for a few moments and then decided to exchange contact information.

If you had an attractive business card, you reached for it proudly and handed it over with a little added glow.

If you had a business card with a design that left something to be desired, your glow fizzled out when you handed it over. You may even have pulled out your cell phone and entered the person into your address book like an awkward eighth grader.

When it comes to effective communication, it all starts with a strong foundation of graphic design.

In a nutshell, you are giving a formal presentation to your audience. To grab and hold their attention, you need an attractive, cohesive design. Attractive visuals convey information better, especially when it is something tangible like a business card.

How Do I Start?

At Printing Solutions, we begin the design process by identifying a customer’s pain points. Where are you seeing a gap? Where are you struggling? What’s does your competition look like? Who do you look up to in the industry? Once we can figure out the problems, we find a solution that will work best for your business.

Most companies initially design on their own or purchase a logo template. Creating something simple and cost effective is simply a placeholder and can temporarily work for your company. But again, this should be temporary and not a permanent solution for your company. Graphic design falls into the notion that “you pay for what you get.” We give you thought-out design work.

“We make sure to take our time in producing some of the best work out there,” Kristyn says. “It is all about winning over your competition. We not only give you a strong finish, but we make sure to take the time and understand each of our customers needs and give them what they need to be successful.”

We always enjoy working with customers who need a transformation in their logo and brand. When we meet with a client who is either frustrated or believes an upgrade is in order, we like to step in. We make sure to go through an entire evaluation of the client’s wants and needs before we suggest anything.

“Once we get a feel for the client and their end goal, we can begin to break down the design and rebuild it,” Kristyn says. “It’s a fun and easy process for our clients to go through.”

Looking for an upgrade in your printed materials? Printing Solutions is happy to help. Call 480-596-6300 to meet with one of our experienced designers now.

At Printing Solutions, each client we work with is a special experience. Our clients are of all different walks of life, from barbers to bloggers to body sculptors, and each project brings its own rewarding journey. But each year, some projects rise above as shining examples of our best work. Our favorite business cards from 2015 are no exception.

We sat down with Printing Solutions’ Creative Director Justin Ketchum and Graphic Designer Chris Danner to get the lowdown on the top cards of the year.

1. The Love Designed Life

favorite business cards the love designed life

The Client: The Love Designed Life
The Design: Client’s own

Printing Solutions: What was the biggest challenge about this project?
Chris Danner: For us, we were really trying to make sure the client was getting her visual needs met, but we also wanted to make sure we were getting the perfect stock she was looking for. The finish of a business card can say a lot about your business. After a couple meetings, we were finally able to choose a stock that was perfect.

PS: Which stocks, finishes, and extra features does this card include? I think I see a bit of embossing there.
CD: This specific card was a cotton card. It has an uncoated finish that is lightweight, luxurious, and absolutely different from anything out there. Cotton cards also come at a very heavy thickness. It was a 45pt card. She also upgraded to having a debossed logo, foil stamping, and metallic colored edges. It really is a one of a kind card. We know she is more than proud to have her name on a piece like that.

PS: What was your favorite part of this project?
CD: I think the best part about working with Paige was knowing that she had a vision and that we were a part of making that vision come to life. After going over different options here and there, the end result was a memorable one. We use her business card as a sample piece in our office now for other clients.

PS: What was the client like to work with?
CD: Very easy going. Because her vision was clear and on point, so was the print job. She also had a really fun and creative mind that is always admired.

PS: Why does this card beat all the others as one of Printing Solutions’ favorite business cards of the year?
CD: This specific card was not only designed well, but it was printed onto one of the most unique materials out there. Her card is going to stick out above all other cards. Because she was in a creative environment, she was free to present creative ideas, and that is what makes this all worth it.

2. Launch Financial

favorite business cards launch financial

The Client: Launch Financial
The Design: Client’s own

Printing Solutions:  What was the biggest challenge about this project?
Justin Ketchum: I think the biggest challenge was making sure we could get all the content to fit on a smaller business card. Sometimes we need to rearrange the layout or take out verbiage for someone’s card based on the size.

PS: What was your favorite part of this project?
JK: Being able to see the end project is always a win for designers. Taking something from a computer monitor and being able to hold it and feel it makes it all worth it.

PS: Which stocks, finishes, and extra features does this card include?
JK: This business card was a silk laminated finish on a 48pt card stock. We also added an embossment and Spot UV on both sides to give it that extra flare. This card also was not your traditional size. Most business cards a 2.5X3 size. The client in this case wanted a perfectly square card that was 2.5X2.5.

PS: What challenges come with a square card that don’t exist in a standard size card?
JK: Very limited with space obviously. The solution? You use a minimum amount of contact information. In this case, web address, email, and phone number.

PS: What was the client like to work with?
JK: Eazy peazy. The client knew what they wanted and we knew how to give it to them.

PS: Why does this card beat all the others as one of Printing Solutions’ favorite business cards of the year?
JK: This card is unique in the sense that it is not traditional is shape, there were upgraded features, and the design itself really worked will with the upgrades that were added. It is a bombshell of a business card. You are going to want to keep this card as a reference for your next business card.

3. City Looks Barber Shop

favorite business cards city looks barber shop

The Client: City Looks Barber Shop
The Design: Printing Solutions

Printing Solutions: What was the biggest challenge about this project?
Chris Danner: This particular project had a lot of moving parts. It is one of the thicker card stock options, so we needed to make sure everything was flowing and made sense. Not everything needs to be over the top when it comes to design. A lot of times, simpler is better. With a company like City Looks Barber, we needed to make sure the design was not getting lost in noise.

PS: What was your favorite part of this project?
CD: Seeing the end result of a product is always the most exciting part. When all was said and done, it was really great to see the card come to life. That first time the clients sees the finished product is always such a proud moment for a designer, especially when the client is ecstatic about the result.

PS: Which stocks, finishes, and extra features does this card include?
CD: This card was a silk laminated finish with a 48pt card stock. One side has a silver foil stamp while the other has a debossed cutout of their logo with a white background in the second layer. It’s a very intricate card.

PS: What was the client like to work with?
CD: Simple, direct, and knew what he wanted. It was nice to have a firm hand in the process. We had room to be creative without being limited, but we were given some direction, which is always helpful.

PS: Why does this card beat all the others as one of Printing Solutions’ favorite business cards of the year?
CD: This card was such a intricate card that we had to make it a top choice for the year. This card in particular has so many fun and interesting features to it. It’s a card that will surely stick out and be remembered.

“A truly passionate graphic designer will always strive to push outside of their comfort zone, to grow and learn constantly. Designers are driven by curiosity, which they use to constantly adapt to the ever-changing trends and challenges that spring up in the creative industry. You can almost always find a designer creating, reading, or discussing their work amongst their peers. For us, it’s a way of life and a way of seeing. I believe that is most important quality in a designer or any creative. If you have the passion, you will find a way to be successful with it.”
– Chris Danner, Graphic Designer at Printing Solutions

Help You Strategize

A good graphic designer should be able to design with a strategy in mind, and often customers will seek out someone whose designs get results. For Printing Solutions, this is most common among our direct mail clients.

“We have a lot of people asking us to do the same thing: ‘Help us rebrand,’ or ‘Identify what needs to be on the front,’ or ‘How do I get people to look at my piece?’” says Kristyn Lechwar, Printing Solutions’ Director of Marketing. “‘How can I attract somebody without them throwing it in the trash?’”

With direct mail especially, design is a crucial part of how well your campaign performs, so it’s important that any designer you choose is also abreast of the latest trends in design. Google and Microsoft are two companies that opted for a more minimalistic design over the past year, and many companies are choosing to follow right on their heels.

“It’s not really about making your logo and company brand totally insane so that you stick out,” Kristyn says. “It’s much more about getting your point across and not having to do so many things to make that point. It’s very clean, very simple.”

Update Your Look

For some companies, that recommended design strategy may include a complete brand refresh. Printing Solutions recently did a brand update for a client whose business had held the same look for more than 20 years.

“So many years ago it was all about the ‘Boom, Pow,’ and the craziness,” Kristyn says. “We changed some colors around, we brought out colors that they had in their logo but were just not prominent, and we switched them and kind of just made things look a little bit more simplistic.”

For Brown and Associates, the client whose brand we redesigned, the update had a dramatic impact.

“The design experience was easy, quick and to the point,” says Malinda Brown, co-owner of Brown and Associates. “The ‘fresher look’ was just what our company needed with our new office space and new address.”

But 20 years is a long time to wait between updates to your printed materials. At Printing Solutions, we usually recommend that our clients update their design once every year or so to keep things fresh.

“You don’t have to redo your large format printing as long as your company doesn’t change,” Kristyn says. “But in terms of your brochures and flyers and business cards, those things should be updated based on the pace of your company. If you’re heading more in that forwards direction, you can spend more on marketing material. And obviously the more money you spend, the cooler the graphics and print materials we can do for you.”

Start From Scratch

While most companies we work with already have a design in place for the majority of their printed materials, sometimes our designers get the chance to create something completely from scratch.

“It is somewhat rare that clients send us print-ready artwork for large format,” Kristyn says. “We usually have to create it because most companies’ logos don’t always work as a giant banner. They have to have a tagline; they have to have an actual design created for a banner.”

This large format design should reflect your existing brand, using the same logos, colors, and other design elements as the rest of your printed materials. Our graphic designers will assess your current brand to design a large format banner that is cohesive with your company’s look.

Are you looking to freshen up your company’s look? Printing Solutions may be just the printer for you. From direct mail postcards to business cards to large format banners and more, we have all of your freshening-up needs covered.

There’s no denying online shopping has been a welcome innovation — instead of having to get dressed and leave the house, we can purchase all of our favorite items right from our bed or sofa. The problem is that most online stores are run through some big, faceless company that just doesn’t give the personal attention of local businesses.

Custom printing jobs are no exception. While commercial printers are an increasingly popular choice for several reasons, there are just as many reasons why they simply don’t hold a candle to local printers. If you’re considering having something professionally printed, read on — we’ve compiled a list of pros and cons of using commercial printers below.

Pro: They’re convenient.

Con: They’re impersonal.

One of the best things about a commercial printing company is its convenience. Most have a handy online store that guides you through the design process before landing you at the checkout page. But the downside is that you never see or speak with your printer before purchasing, and even customer service representatives are limited. You don’t get to ask questions before placing your order — you simply send it into the void of the internet and hope for the best.

But nearly every business has a website or web store now, making it convenient to shop online even with local businesses. Even better: Local printing companies like Printing Solutions typically deal with fewer customers at a time than commercial printers, which means you get personal care and attention throughout your order process. You can ask questions along the way and meet with designers and printers before you even purchase their services to make sure it’s the best fit for your job.

Pro: They have a fast turnaround.

Con: They lack quality control systems.

Most commercial printing companies deliver even large orders in a matter of days, while a local printer may take a bit longer to complete a job. If you’re working on a deadline, this is a nice advantage. However, big commercial printers often lack the quality control systems that are in place with local printers. They may not be as willing to refund or reprint a flawed order, and they likely won’t take the same precautions and care as a locally owned company that has developed close relationships with its customers and takes pride in the product it produces.

Pro: They’re affordable.

Con: They’re limited in their selections.

Commercial printers often have much lower prices than local printers, but unfortunately, those prices correlate directly to their selection of available materials. Usually there will be fewer cardstocks and finishes to choose from with a commercial printer, and the sizes may or may not correspond exactly to what you had in mind for the project. A local printer has much more flexibility in the papers available to use, and projects can be customized to any size to suit your printing needs.

With a local printer, you also have the added bonus of being able to see and feel each weight and finish before making a decision. With a commercial printer, you need to make a decision based only on an illustration and written description.

Any discussion about marketing trends in 2015 will undoubtedly include a focus on social media, digital marketing and mobile, but what about print marketing? It’s no secret anymore that print marketing continues to play a vital role in the success of any company’s marketing success. The question is, what 2015 printing trends should you focus on.Here are some ideas we think you should consider:

Personalized Strategies

Just as we’ve seen in the world of digital marketing with personalized email sequences and url’s, watch for print marketing to continue to focus on personalization. Consumers have come to expect this personalization. They’re watching for marketing to target their specific needs and wants. We live in a time where technology makes personalized print marketing more cost-effective than ever, which is why it remains a strong trend for 2015.

Video Integration

Most people don’t typically think of video when it comes to print marketing. But with the continued success of QR Codes, integrating video into printed pieces such as direct mail, packaging and displays has never been easier. Research shows that, however hot video may have been in 2014, it’s going to be an ever hotter 2015 printing trend.

Merging of Digital and Print

While the success of print marketing campaigns continues to remain high, trends now show that integrating digital channels only makes it them that much stronger. Print marketing combined with a follow up email, for example, creates a significant increase in response rates. Some marketers have already discovered the secret of merging digital and print marketing –watch this trend continue to gain momentum in 2015.

B2B Marketing

It seems that the old school strategies of business-to business marketing techniques are coming back in a big way in 2015. Traditional approaches, such as print marketing, are showing to be more effective when it comes to engaging businesses than they have been in a very long time. We expect many B2B marketers will rethink their print marketing strategies this year.

2015 is going by in a hurry and the trends we mention here are no longer predictions, but proven strategies. If you are reconsidering the role print marketing currently plays in your overall marketing strategy, now is the time to make your move.Talk to Printing Solutions about strategies and ideas that we have seen that have been effective for other businesses. Let us help you put a plan together that you can implement sooner than later. Call us at 480-596-6300.
